Since the beginning of the project, we have been committed to transparency and collaboration with the authorities that may be affected by the project.
A structured information and consultation process
MIFFC has conducted a structured process of information and consultation with stakeholders over the past four years. These processes have been reported positively:
- Two open house sessions
- More than 25 meetings with stakeholders
- Participation in the public consultation process of the Communauté métropolitaine de Montréal (CMM)
- MIFFC responded positively to the 11 recommendations in the CMM consultation report that were related to MIFFC and the project
- The BAPE public hearing process was initiated by MIFFC in recognition of the interest shown by the various stakeholders during the information and consultation meetings.
In order to continue to constructively develop the project with all stakeholders involved, MIFFC will set up a liaison committee after obtaining the necessary project permits and before construction begins.
