The Liaison Committee was established to create a communication channel between residents of Montréal-Est, environmental and community groups, the City of Montréal-Est, MIFFC, and its team. Participation is voluntary and unpaid. The Liaison Committee oversees the entire airport fuel terminal project—from the construction phase through commissioning and into operations.
Two meetings were held each year during the construction period. During the commissioning phase, the committee will meet once a year. MIFFC and its team remain available between meetings to receive comments and questions from Liaison Committee members and other stakeholders. Holding a special meeting, should the situation require it, is also an option.
During liaison committee meetings, the MIFFC team provides updates on project progress, upcoming work, mitigation measures, recent reports (if any), and answers questions from Committee members.
Reports can be submitted by email, by phone, or in person at the Montréal airport fuel terminal, the Port of Montréal Authority (MPA), or the City of Montréal-Est. The reporting process is available here: (https://carburantaeroportuairemontreal.com/en/how-to-report-a-concern/)
