MIFFC has actively collaborated in the various stages of the environmental impact assessment and review process in Quebec, led by the Ministère de l’Environnement et de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques (MELCC).
Here are the steps through which the project is evaluated:
Environmental Impact Assessment and Review Process in Southern Québec
The environmental impact assessment was filed with the Ministère de l’Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs (MELCCFP) and evaluated by the relevant authorities. The project then followed the information and consultation process of the investigation commission of the Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE).

The project was authorized by decrees of the Government of Québec in June 2019 and June 2022.
